  • Exposed beams - open fire Situated in the north Cumbrian village of Braithwaite, Barn House Cottage is a great base to explore some of the major peaks of the Lake District as well as for touring the northern Lakes.

    Bassenthwaite Lake is close by for fishing and sailing and of course look out for the Ospreys which nest close by. The Osprey view point is about 4 miles from the cottage.
    There are two pubs (one at the bottom of the drive) and two restaurants in the village. The busy market town of Keswick is just two miles away and will keep you occupied with its Theatre by the Lake, Lesiure Centre, Cinema and Pencil Museum.
