What you will get is a chance to enjoy the fine views of the western Lakes and if you want a little company then potter over to the farm and feed the donkeys. The Quiet Site - Ullswater

The Quiet Site has been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award. Family run this site has all well maintained facilities which strive to be as eco-friendly as possible. In addition to the usual facilities the site also has a large childrens play area as well as a TV room and a Bar with an open fire and pool table.

Skelwith Fold Caravan Park

Stay in the heart of the English Lake District but avoid the crowds. Skelwith Fold is only a few miles from Ambleside and has 120 touring pitches set in an idlyllic 130-acre woodland site. The site boasts an abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna. In addition to the usual facilities the site has a children's adventure playground, a dog-walking area and is also able to offer disabled facilities. Skelwith Fold has twice won the Gold David Bellamy Conservation award.
