The illumination of Hadrian's Wall in Cumbria

The final preparations are being made for the illumination of Hadrian's Wall on Saturday, 13 March.. . . .

The event will boast some real Roman artillery and a Roman re-enactor firing arrows into the sky after he lights the last beacon at Bowness-on Solway. . .

To see the action you need to head to Carlisle to see the beacons being lit, not to the wall itself. . .
